Programmer

I have been a professional programmer since 1979. My first job, lasting 3 years, was as a statistical programmer with a private company whose primary client was the National Cancer Institute. I used COBOL, FORTRAN, SPSS, and SAS. Since then I have programmed in many languages using IBM mainframes and Linux/Unix servers.

In addition to my work as a DBA, I have also written a website for work which does real-time monitoring of our database servers and reports on various aspects of database performance. In writing this site I have used:
